The Central Bohemian Region, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, set out to present the legacy of Bohumil Hrabal in a modern way. To mark the opening of a museum in his former home, an interactive mobile application was developed, allowing visitors to explore the place and its atmosphere through a digital experience.
The aim was to create a user-friendly app that would appeal to a broad audience—including non-technical users—and offer them an interactive window into the past.
We delivered a complete digital solution—not only the mobile app but also all content, including graphics and video production.
The app allows visitors to:

Modeled in a 1:1 scale with a period-accurate view of the garden and its inhabitants.
▪️Experience a journey into the past.
Using 360° photos to explore the authentic setting of the mid-20th century.
▪️Immerse themselves in history through sound
The app includes narrated video guides providing additional insights.
▪️Utilize modern navigation indoors
Bluetooth iBeacon technology ensures precise positioning even where GPS cannot function.
The app was developed using the Unity game engine, ensuring optimization for various devices, smooth performance across platforms, and high-quality 2D and 3D graphics.
The digital guide brought Hrabal’s Kersko to life, making it accessible to a broad audience. Interactive elements help visitors better understand Hrabal’s life and literary inspirations. The museum now offers an innovative educational tool.
Technology brings the past closer to present generations.
The main challenge was to create an app that appeals to visitors of all ages and technical abilities, focusing on an intuitive user interface and easy navigation.
