The goal was to create an application that plausibly and accurately simulates the use of the selected product from the catalog. The application provides a virtual simulation of the placement of a product (e.g. furniture) in a real environment.
Solution
We implemented mobile applications using KMP (Kotlin Multiplatform) technology. It was already our third product, which we implemented with its help. For this reason, we were already sufficiently familiar with it and saved time by not having to write business logic twice.
The training was the exact simulation of the product, working with virtual reality and deployment.
Challenges and learnings
After opening the application on Android or iOS, the client chooses a product from the menu. Using the app and the phone's camera, it focuses a specific area or space and places the product in that space. With the help of touch gestures on the display, the product can be moved or rotated at will. The resulting visualization can be saved in your own gallery. If the client is satisfied, it can be automatically redirected to the shopping cart. The Hang mobile app displays the product catalog in augmented reality, so the client can place products directly in their apartment, office or other space and make sure everything fits perfectly.
