INDOORTOUCH + HIPMO

Introduction

The family of 2N Intercoms lacked an answering unit that would be installed into flats and offices. A solution of using tablets that are permanently charged is not sustainable as they are not designed for continuous operation. Therefore, Quanti supplied both hardware itself and an Android mobile application.

Challenges

It was necessary to implement a highly parameterized mobile application in the special hardware that has specific hardware options. Also, the application works on all Android and iOS phones, either using the Internet or within a local network without the Internet access.

Solution

We developed a mobile application that is highly configurable and robust. It works in a local network. On the Android platform, we managed to share most of the code between the version for mobile phones and for the Indoor Touch platform.

Results

An answering unit with an adjusted Android system was created along with an application for three platforms in total - for both Indoor Touch and Android phones sharing much of the code and for iOS.
